Between 2000 and 2007, the building area was increased to 600 m² and the milk processing amount to 7,000 litres.
Amongst the sons of Mr Halil, Yunus Betmezoğlu and Mustafa Betmezoğlu were in love with the dairy industry as much as their father, and since the young age, they have had knowledge and experience in the sector. Thus, in 2007, Mr Halil handed over the entire operation to his sons, whom he was sure of their strong experience and education.
Between 2008 and 2011, they bought another factory with all rights and processing 10 tons of milk a day they started to produce Traditional Cypriot Hellim Cheese and Fresh Kasar Cheese, while yoghurt and ayran production continued in their first building. Due to the constant increase in demand for the products, they have appointed a professional team from Italy to prepare the project to build a larger and new plant. Ultimately, in 2012, the grand opening of the new factory was held and all the production was moved to this plant equipped with modern, state-of-the-art technology.
The Gülgün Dairy Products Facility, which has a total area of 14.000 m² (indoor area of 4.500 m²), is the most modern, most equipped, technologically advanced and hygienic facility in Cyprus with the daily milk processing capacity of 70-100 tonnes (seasonal). The Gülgün Dairy Products Facility proceeds on its way as a family business with a management team of 11 persons, 54 workers, a fleet of 17 vehicles, and a fully equipped establishment with ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 certificates.
